The controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma tends to be in a difficult phase at present as Andhra Police goes out hunting him for his arrest. The filmmaker was alleged to make derogatory remarks on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Information and Technology Minister Nara Lokesh and many others via a social media post. Varma who urged for a 4 days time to appear infront of the court, tried escaping from the arrest as realised by the Andhra Police. This could reportedly lead to his potential arrest.
Earlier this week, a case was filed against Ram Gopal Varma by a local Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Ramalingam. The leader accused the director of mocking out CM Naidu, his son Nara Lokesh, and actor-turned politician Pawan Kalyan while promoting his film Vyuham back in the previous year. RGV’s social media posts and tweets, which often spark controversies have again become a reason for a heavy dispute. This time, it led to filing an F.I.R. against him.

On November 13th, the Andhra police issued a notice to the filmmaker with an order to report to the investigation office right away. However, RGV tried approaching for an interim relief which was not accepted by the police officials. Later when he requested for a four-day period to appear in front of the police, the request was accepted. But as the deadline came to its expiry on Monday, the Andhra police officials reached to his Hyderabad residence.
The officials waited for long hours on Saturday morning, but unfortunately could not locate Ram Gopal Varma. The director tried escaping the arrest and ran away from his Hyderabad house, informing the officials that he is “out of station”. As the matter is agitated even more, the police has organised a ‘manhunt’ to catch him for his arrest.
