Priyanka Chopra Jonas has officially become a part of Nicholas Stoller’s forthcoming comedy for Amazon MGM, where she will share the screen with Zac Efron and Will Ferrell. The film, which was previously titled Judgment Day, features a remarkable cast and has generated significant excitement.
Adding another noteworthy project to her growing portfolio, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is making a significant impact in Hollywood. The international star has officially joined the cast of an upcoming comedy produced by Amazon MGM Studios, which is both written and directed by Nicholas Stoller, renowned for his hit films Neighbours and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
The ensemble cast of this untitled film, formerly known as Judgement Day, includes prominent actors such as Will Ferrell, Zac Efron, Regina Hall, Jimmy Tatro, Billy Eichner, and Michael Peña. Priyanka generated excitement among her fans by sharing a screenshot of the casting announcement on her Instagram Stories, confirming her participation. Although details about her role remain undisclosed, her association with such a distinguished cast has sparked considerable interest within the industry.
The film promises a tumultuous and darkly comedic narrative. Zac Efron plays a young inmate who unexpectedly seizes control of an unscripted courtroom reality television show. Central to the plot is his strong conviction that the judge, played by Will Ferrell, rendered a verdict that significantly and unjustly changed the trajectory of his life. The unfolding events are anticipated to be a thrilling experience, brimming with tension, satire, and abundant humor.
Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alex Brown are spearheading the production alongside Stoller through Stoller Global Solutions, under the banner of Gloria Sanchez Productions. Following the success of Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon’s You’re Cordially Invited, this marks Stoller’s second collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.
This latest project further enhances the dynamic partnership between Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Amazon MGM. She is set to appear in Frank E. Flowers’s The Bluff, as well as the action film Heads of State, which features John Cena and Idris Elba. Recently, she starred in the global thriller series Citadel and will share the screen with Mahesh Babu in the highly awaited SSMB29 directed by SS Rajamouli.
Michael Peña, who is also part of the cast alongside Chopra, continues to impress with his recent performances in A Million Miles Away, Landman, and the currently airing A Working Man.
This comedy is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated titles in Amazon MGM’s upcoming lineup, thanks to its compelling concept and skilled ensemble.
