Pete Davidson dreams to start a family of his own. The comedian has recently opened up about his wish to become a father, admitting that he’s looking forward to eventually starting a new “chapter” of his life. In a sneak peek of Kevin Hart’s Hart to Heart series, which premieres on Peacock on July 14, Davidson shared, “My favourite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, I wanna have a kid. That’s like my dream. It’s like, super corny.”
The former Saturday Night Live star further continues, “It would be so fun. Dress up the little dude. That’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude, develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.” Davidson also admitted that despite him having a “not great” childhood, he considers himself a “family guy.”
Pete’s passion for becoming a dad is bittersweet, as he lost his father at a very young age on 9/11. The King of Staten Island star recalled that his childhood was not so great as his dad passed early, single mom, and a new sister. He added, “just did not handle it great, my sister was like 2, 3 years old. So, it was just like a nightmare.”
Pete Davidson is currently dating reality star, Kim Kardashian. While the comedian didn’t have any kids now, he might already be getting some parenting practice with Kim and Kanye West’s kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West. Moreover, his latest tattoo was inspired by Kim’s kids, as he tattooed the letters “knscp” on his collarbone above his “Jasmine” and “Aladdin” tattoos for Kim.
The tattoos can be clearly seen in the loved-up selfie recently shared by Kim Kardashian on her Instagram. However, The Kardashians star revealed last month that she consulted a therapist before introducing her new boyfriend to her children. “I definitely wanted to wait six months, and that was the marker.” SKIMS founder added, “I think it’s different for everyone; different things work for different people, and you just have to do what feels right and try to be as respectful and cautious as possible.”
