We will win: Trump on impeachment investigation against him

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Thursday that the House is moving forward to draft articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter to lash out at Nancy Pelosi saying she had a “nervous fit”.

On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she was authorising the drafting of articles of impeachment “sadly but with confidence and humility”.

Trump was quick to react.

“Nancy Pelosi just had a nervous fit. She hates that we will soon have 182 great new judges and so much more. Stock market and employment records. She says she ‘prays for the President’. I don’t believe her, not even close. Help the homeless in your district Nancy. USMCA [United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement]?” Donald Trump tweeted.

Trump, in another tweet earlier said, “The good thing is that the Republicans have NEVER been more united. We will win!”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Thursday that the House is moving forward to draft articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

Pelosi delivered the historic announcement as Democrats push toward a vote, possibly by Christmas.

“The president’s actions have seriously violated the Constitution,” Pelosi said.

At the heart of the impeachment probe is a July call with the president of Ukraine, in which Trump pressed the leader to investigate Democrats and political rival Joe Biden as Trump was withholding aid to the country.

“Our democracy is what is at stake,” Pelosi said in her solemn announcement. “The president leaves us no choice but to act because he is trying to corrupt, once again, the election for his own benefit. The president has engaged in abuse of power, undermining our national security and jeopardising the integrity of our elections.”
