The much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) kick-starts in UAE today and cricket buffs are gearing up for an epic clash. In the tournament opener, defending champions Mumbai Indians will lock horns with MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The rivalry between the Blues and the Yellows dates long back and everyone is busy picking their side. Ahead of the tournament opener, Rohit Sharma called the CSK vs MI the “El Classico Of IPL”.

Mumbai Indians’ players extensively spoke about their rivalry with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). During the interaction, MI pacer Hardik Pandya said, “CSK and us… it’s the rivalry that has always been there.”

On the other hand, Hardik’s brother Krunal Pandya said, “The vibe which it creates… MI vs CSK – as a player also you look forward to that.”

The spearhead of Mumbai Indians’ squad Jasprita Bumrah also spoke about the epic rivalry by saying, “Because both teams are very well known and they always do well, so it’s always an interesting match.”

Keeping aside the rivalry, fans enjoy the nail-biting game between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Both the team have a loyal fan following who will be cheering for their favourite team from their homes this time.

UAE is hosting the 13th season of the IPL due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in India. The teams will be playing the matches behind the closed doors. This means that there will be no spectators in the stands to enlighten the atmosphere.

Cheerleaders will also not be part of this year’s IPL. The famous T-20 league will be played without the extra glamour.

Mumbai Indians team is all set to take on the Chennai Super Kings. The MS Dhoni led team already has suffered major blow ahead of the tournament.

CSK will be missing their two key players- Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh. The two CSK stars pulled out of the Indian Premier League due to personal reasons.

Speaking of Mumbai Indians, they are four-time IPL champions and they are aiming to clinch this year’s trophy.
