IPL 2020: MS Dhoni REACTS To Being Asked For Signed Jerseys

MS Dhoni has finally reacted to being asked for signed jerseys during the on-going IPL. Many players including Jos Buttler, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Pandya have received a signed jersey from the Chennai skipper. Read below to know more.

The former skipper of team India MS Dhoni broke the hearts of many cricket buffs when he announced his retirement in the month of August. After his retirement, the World Cup-winning captain is leading the Chennai-based franchise in the on-going Indian Premier League (IPL). This year, the Yellow jersey has failed to impress but they did register a comfortable win over Punjab in their last outing. After the win, commentator Harsha Bhogle asked Dhoni if he has any jerseys left as everyone is sneaking one from him. Reacting to the same, MS Dhoni expresses his thoughts on being asked for signed jerseys.

In the post-match presentation, poking fun in the conversation MS Dhoni reacts to being asked for signed jerseys. The wicket-keeper batsman said maybe the players thought he is retiring.

For the unknown, a while back Dhoni brightened up many faces by saying that he is ‘definitely not’ retiring from IPL.

The 39-year old allegedly confirmed that his fans will see him in action next season for Chennai.

During the post-match presentation, Dhoni said, “Maybe they thought I’m retiring. You know… retired from international cricket and maybe I’ll retire from the shortest format also.”

Many players including Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jos Buttler have received signed jerseys from the Chennai skipper.

Dhoni also said that the 14th season of the IPL will start in the coming few months. Thus, he is looking forward to starting preparing for the same taking into consideration there is no lockdown in place.

The Chennai-based franchise, they are in the 7th position in the IPL Points Table. In the on-going tournament, they clinched 6 wins out of the 14 matches they played.

As of now, the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai squad has already entered the qualifiers. This for the first time in the year that the Chennai squad has not qualified for the IPL play-offs.
