Ye shared the song on X (formerly Twitter), but Kim reportedly attempted to block its release through legal action. In a now-deleted tweet, West posted a screenshot of what appeared to be a recent text exchange with Kim. According to TMZ, the screenshot revealed their escalating frustration, with Kanye expressing his annoyance that Kim had trademarked their daughter’s name, North West. He reportedly told her, “I’m never speaking with you again.”

Sources close to the situation confirmed that Kardashian sent legal paperwork to West, demanding a cease-and-desist regarding the song. She also arranged an emergency mediation session with a judge and mediator, which Kanye did not attend. Despite this, he allegedly assured Kim that he would not release the song.

Insiders say Kardashian is determined to keep her daughter out of Ye’s controversies and legal battles, fearing that North’s name could become entangled in the fallout.
