Brahmastra: With almost 10 years spent in the making, Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra has finally been released in the theatres. However, despite opening up to great earnings the film has received criticism from the audience and even critics for its plot and dialogues, while recently the Bollywood filmmaker and Brahmastra producer, Karan Johar reacted to a netizen who criticized the film for its logic and story. Here’s what he said-
Karan Johar Reacts To Trolls Questioning Brahmastra “Logic”
On Sunday, Bollywood filmmaker and Brahmastra producer, Karan Johar addressed a tweet of a netizen who criticized his film, Brahmastra for its logic, the netizen wrote, “Tell me how that Ashram is secret and the address of ashram is on Google maps? For this logic, the movie has earned 300 crs? This is what Indian creativity is?”
Resharing the tweet Brahmastra producer, Karan Johar wrote, “The Guru is living like any other person in the real world… no one knows he is the leader of the Brahmansh! That his is the house of the Astras… so his address with his name in the real world is of course on Google maps!”
Soon after Karan slammed the trolls many netizens were seen supporting the filmmaker and asking the filmmaker to ignore the online “negativity”, a user wrote, “Movie team explaining/giving clarification to some random guy on Twitter gives a false impression that Ayan failed to conceive properly what he imagined. Just ignore the negativity.”
Another user tweeted, “Just want to correct you here….when SRK was caught by Moni Roy during that time only they were asking where the ashram was. I think if you are coming up with a vision then you need a very strong story. A love story will not impress the audience nowadays.”
Ayan Mukerji Breaks Silence On Boycott Brahmastra Trend
Apart from Karan, Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji also reacted to the online negativity. In a recent interview with News18, Ayan Mukerji opened up on the boycott trend faced by his film and how he felt about it. Talking about the boycott trend Ayan said, “Yes, we did care what people were saying but at the same time we were okay. It may sound idealistic but we were so focused on our film and the overall message of the film was all about love and we had a concept which was there on our posters which said, ‘The light is coming,’ so we didn’t really have any time to think about anything else.”
Ayan was further seen appealing to the audience to give his film a chance, he said, “As a filmmaker, I am inviting everyone to come and watch it, including the people who are making all the noise and also the ones who aren’t convinced with our film. We want them to give us a chance, see the effort that we have put in, the kind of VFX we have done because I feel no film of that nature has done it, and experience the way Indian mythology is depicted. Once you watch the film you are entitled to your opinion whether you like it or not and I am open to all kinds of suggestions,”
