Suriya’s latest film Kanguva, released on November 14, 2024 has seen a mixed response at the box office on the opening day. Despite earning immense praise for actors’ performance and the grandeur of the visuals, the film’s screenplay and execution have received criticism. The Kanguva day 4 box office collection reflects this, as the movie continues its steady but uneven run.
Kanguva started strong with a worldwide gross of ₹58.62 crore on its opening day. However, the collection saw a noticeable dip over the following days. The film’s Friday earnings majorly dropped to ₹9.50 crore, followed by ₹9.85 crore on Saturday. Then Sunday witnessed a minor boost bringing in ₹10.50 crore, taking the total domestic collection to ₹53.85 crore across all five languages.
In the Hindi market, Kanguva had a slower trajectory earning ₹2.4 crore on Friday and ₹2.24 crore on Saturday. Predictions suggest the film could cross the ₹10 crore mark in Hindi markets within the opening week.

The movie written and directed by Siva the stellar ensemble cast including Suriya, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, and more. Bobby’s performance as menacing antagonist has been widely discussed, especially after his massive success earned for Animal. BAcked by UV Creations and Studio Green, Kanguva boosts a multi-generational storyline as Suriya played dual roles in this visually rich narrative.
Despite largely mixed reviews, Kanguva day 4 box office collection shows the film has potential for steady growth, particularly due to the lack of significant competition at the box office. With a total worldwide gross of ₹127.64 crore so far, the movie is likely to cross ₹100 crore domestically in the coming weeks of the month.
