Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines for quite some time now for her blunt statements, calling out Bollywood’s “mafia,” and her controversial takes. The actress recently took to Twitter to lash out at the makers of Ganpath, starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, for announcing their same release date. The movie will clash with her movie Emergency on October 20, 2023.
Kangana voiced her displeasure and questioned why the director was targeting the premiere of her film when Bollywood had a very open movie calendar. She explained in a series of tweets that in addition to the teaser, she will also be releasing her release dates just one month beforehand. She posted, “Announced his film on 20th October, entire October is free so is November, December and even September but today Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Tiger Shroff announced their ambitious project on 20th October.”
In Bhushan Kumar’s Ganpath, the movie will also star Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. The action film, which is being directed by Vikas Bahl, has been in development for almost two years. sharing the movie’s announcement, Tiger wrote, “Aisi ek duniya jahaan aatank ka hai raaj, wahaan Ganapath Aa Raha Hai banke apne logo ki awaaz ? Unleashing the magnanimous entertainer #GanapathOn20thOctober 2023! In cinemas this Dussehra.”
Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s work front will be seen in her first solo directorial project Emergency. She will be essaying the role of India’s Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The movie will also star Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Satish Kaushik, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.
