The ongoing legal tension between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has taken a new turn. This time, it’s about where the deposition should be held. Blake recently requested that her upcoming deposition happen at her own attorney’s office in New York, expressing concerns about paparazzi possibly ambushing her outside Baldoni’s legal office.
In response, Justin Baldoni’s legal team has spoke out and pushed back at her requests, arguing there’s no actual evidence suggesting paparazzi would be an issue. They pointed out that both attorneys’ offices are just a mile apart and claimed that agreeing to Blake’s request would put them at a disadvantage.
They also raised concerns about needing space to review documents or speak privately during the deposition. According to court filings, Baldoni’s attorneys stated, “Although Lively’s foot-stomping and use of her celebrity status may have enabled her to seize control of the film which is the crux of this dispute, her counsel’s tantrum has no place in this Court.”
A spokesperson for Lively said, “Ms. Lively is looking forward to her deposition next week, and it should follow the same rules as every other witness in this case.” Her team also previously claimed that Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, was trying to turn the legal process into “a spectacle.”
Blake Lively has accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment during the filming of It Ends With Us and claims his PR team ran a smear campaign against her. While Baldoni has denied the allegations, a judge recently dismissed his countersuit against both Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. The case continues to unfold with both sides standing firm.
