Indian choreographer Dhanashree Verma and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal recently went for a divorce on March 20, 2025. The duo that stayed married for 18 months have officially been separated, without making a noise. However, nothing was hidden from the cameras and Indian audience as the couple was often spotted around the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. After Bombay HC issued a notice to waive off the six months cooling period, the divorce finalization was performed yesterday itself, with Chahal paying a 4.75 crores alimony to Dhanashree Verma.
Now after the divorce, Dhanashree Verma has shared her first post-ever on her official Instagram account. In her first post after the divorce, Dhanashree promoted her brand new song Dekha Ji Dekha Maine, which talks about extra-marital affair and her character being cheated on by her reel husband, played by Ishwak Singh.
Because the song showcases about disloyalty in a relationship and character assasinates the partner, controversy sparked whether Dhanshree Verma is hinting towards her ex-husband Yuzvendra Chahal’s disloyalty. Netizens wondered if this was regarding Chahal and RJ Mahavash’s rumored affair.
Earlier in the day, after the final decision came in, Chahal left the court with his jacket off, showing a black T-shirt with the words ‘be your own sugar daddy’ written on it. The paparazzi tried asking Chahal his reaction but he did not respond. People took to social media to react to his shirt. “He literally wore tshirt saying, ‘Be your own Sugar Daddy’,” wrote a person. “The word on his T shirt says all,” said another.
Chahal and Dhanashree got married in December 2020. As per their petition, they separated in June 2022. On February 5, they filed a joint petition before the family court seeking divorce by mutual consent
