Anurag Kashyap REVEALS Leaving Bollywood To Join South Industry, Slams The Remake-Culture

Disgusted by the 'seller-mind' of the filmmakers in Bollywood, Anurag Kashyap said he feels like leaving Bombay and moving to South permanently.

Multi-talented Anurag Kashyap is an acclaimed film director, producer, screenwriter and an actor. He is known for his notable projects like Gangs of Wasseypur, Black Friday, Bombay Talkies and many more. Coming on to the digital streaming platform, like NETFLIX, Kashyap was also evidently good with his project “Lust Stories”. Though, many of his films turned out to be flop at the box-office, but the passion within him never really dropped off. The Wasseypur director recently came forward to criticize the Indian film industry for the “seller-mind” that has birthed amongst everyone. Anurag Kashyap made a shocking revelation of leaving Bollywood anytime sooner, only to join the South industry.

The Joy Of Filmmaking Is Sucked Out… Says Anurag Kashyap

In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Anurag Kashyap said that he is very much disappointed with the way this industry is working. He says, “It is difficult for me to go out and experiment, because it now comes at a cost. My producers start thinking about money.” Kashyap mentioned that the making of a film is only associated with making profits, and how to sell it. “The joy of filmmaking is sucked out, which is why I am planning to leave…” Hearing this, when the interviewers asks for better clarity, the Wasseypur director makes it clear that he has decided to move out of Bombay and join the South. Kashyap justifies his point by stating that he wishes to be at a place where there is stimulation, otherwise he would just end up dying as a old man.

The mindset of the film stars have totally and competely dissapointed Anurag Kashyap. He even criticIzed the “remake culture” of Bollywood. He slammed other directors without naming any of them that “they will never try anything new which does not have a reference point” and he is not able to deal with all these anymore. This shocking news is a big announcement by Kashyap made just a day before entering the new year.
