Cruise’s lead role in the 1986 smash hit Top Gun shot him into celebrity status, and the film’s record-breaking success spiked military enlistment. The Distinguished Public Service Award was presented to Cruise during a ceremony on Tuesday at the Longcross Film Studios in Chertsey, Surrey.

Talking about Tom’s upcoming work, the American star will be seen next in Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. The film is set to release in May 2025. Reports also suggets that the coming film might also star in an upcoming supernatural thriller Deeper, which follows an astronaut who encounters a terrifying force during a deep dive into an unexplored trench in the ocean.
