Gladiator II Star Denzel Washington REVEALS The Damage He Has Done To His Body Due To Drinking Habit

While talking to Esquire Magazine, Washington said that he used to finish up 2 bottle of wines in a day, and that he got off alcohol at 60 years of age - a habit he began with in the early 90s.

American actor and producer Denzel Washington is consistently making headlines for his latest statement on one of the same-s*x kissing scenes shot for Gladiator II. The actor, popularly known for his significant acting skills and grounded honesty revealed that one such scene was made to shoot that later got deleted before the movie released.

However, now as he speaks on his own lifestyle, Denzel Washington has opened up something else, that was only a secret unknown to all so far. Opening up on his secret lifestyle the american star told how he was a total drunkard a decade before he cut off alcohol. 

The gladiator II star recently sat in an interview where he reflected on his past. While talking to Esquire Magazine, Washington said that he used to finish up 2 bottle of wines in a day, and that he  got off alcohol at 60 years of age – a habit he began with in the early 90s. Denzel revealed that he was so much absorbed by drinks that he even built a 10,000-bottle wine cellar back in 1999.Wine was my thing, and now I was popping $4,000 bottles just because that’s what was left”, he added. 

Washington stated that it started by him tasting wines and all, and that’s how it turned into a habit. Accepting the damage that he has done to his body, and health – the Gladiator II star also shared how he had stopped and removed liquor from his drink at all, to try leading a happy life as he grows older. 

Denzel Washington recently received huge acclaim for his work in Gladiator II. The film sequel was released after more than a decade. But, just within 4 days of its release, the film earned a massive 87 million dollars in the international market.
