“Actress Sydney Sweeney is now the face of a new sportswear ad. Known for her roles in shows like Euphoria, she’s stepping into the world of sports fashion with this exciting new brand deal.”
Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney has once again grabbed everyone’s attention. This time, the Euphoria star’s latest advertisement for a sports brand has gone viral on social media. The ad has quickly divided social media users, with some praising its cheeky concept and others questioning the need for such a presentation.
The advertisement, released on Wednesday, opens with Sweeney looking directly into the camera and saying, “Think you know sports? Prove it.” She then explains that the brand is about “just sports”, before the campaign takes a rather unexpected turn.
As the camera pulls back, Sweeney is seen perched on a basketball hoop, using sports equipment to maintain modesty while spinning a basketball on her finger. The actress is then seen in a series of sports-themed setups involving football, tennis, hockey, golf, and soccer. At one point, she uses footballs and shoulder pads as props, while another sequence sees her playing with a tennis racket.
Of the ad, Sweeney said in a statement, “The campaign was about embracing a fun idea. The concept is simple: cut through the noise and put the focus entirely on sports. The campaign brings that idea to life with confidence, humor, and a playful edge.”
The actor is also an equity partner in the sports betting app, giving her a rather more personal stake in the campaign than the average celebrity endorsement.
And Sweeney does have some sporting credentials of her own. She told Complex that she played football and softball while growing up, was part of a ski team and also trained in MMA. At 12, she even had ambitions of making it to the X Games as a wakeboarder, although, as she put it, “that didn’t happen”.
Her sporting interests have also evolved. These days, Sweeney says she particularly enjoys watching hockey and boxing, with the latter gaining a special place after she played boxer Christy Martin in the 2025 biopic Christy. “I have a really huge appreciation for every single fighter,” she said.
With this new campaign, Sydney Sweeney continues to expand her brand beyond acting, proving she’s just as much a style icon as she is a talented actress.
