The debate among fans of Jr NTR and Ram Charan continues, even after the visionary filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s epic 2022 hit film RRR made history by winning the Oscar for Best Original Song with the blockbuster Naatu Naatu. Despite the film’s monumental success, which elevated Indian cinema on the global stage, a recent comment by French Actor Lucas Bravo has reignited the fan war between the two stars’ followers.
RRR, a multi-starrer film, has kept fans engaged long after its release. In a recent interview with Zoom, French Actor Lucas Bravo, best known for his role in the Netflix hit series Emily In Paris, praised Ram Charan’s performance in RRR, inadvertently sparking controversy. Bravo, while struggling to recall the actors’ names, eventually referred to Ram Charan, describing him as “the one who was in the army at the beginning scene”. He added, “I was captivated by RRR when I watched it. Ram Charan is a fantastic actor. The stunts he performed and his emotional presence were breathtaking. I know the film won at the Oscars, but I wanted more visibility for him.”
This comment quickly went viral, leading to a heated debate on social media. Jr NTR fans were quick to react, with one X user stating, “Without Jr NTR, this movie could definitely flop… No one can beat his dance, acting”. Another fan highlighted, “NTR’s name comes before Ram Charan’s in the trailer”.
Despite the rivalry between their fan bases, it is well-known that Ram Charan and Jr NTR share a close bond in real life, supporting each other through thick and thin. However, the remarks from Hollywood star French Actor Lucas Bravo have added fuel to the ongoing fan discussions, which seem destined to continue.
Previously, Jr NTR fans had also reacted strongly to comments made by legendary writer Vijayendra Prasad, who noted that Ram Charan’s character had more layers and was a more challenging role to portray. Rajamouli, who successfully brought together stars from two major film families for RRR and took the film to the Oscars, has been unable to quell these fan wars and it is well known that there are no signs of fading anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Lucas Bravo is set to amaze fans with ‘Emily In Paris’ Season 4. According to Netflix’s recent announcement, Part 2 will release on September 12 at 12:00 a.m. PT. Fans are still buzzing over the first half of the season, which began streaming on August 15 and this additional Part 2 announcement has left them even more excited.
