The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Actor, David McCallum Dies At 90

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and NCIS actor David McCallum passed away at the age of 90 years in New York at Presbyterian Hospital.

British actor David McCallum who gained popularity for his role as an agent in the famous television series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. passed away at the of 90 years September 25, at Presbyterian Hospital in New York.

As per BBC news, the Scottish actor, David McCallum was surrounded by his family when he was admitted at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York. As per the report, the Man from U.N.C.L.E. actor passed away under normal circumstances and conditions at the age of 90 years. David McCallum was survived by his 5 children and wife Katherine McCallum.

For the unversed, David McCallum rose to fame in the early 1960s after he appeared in the television show, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” playing the role of a Russian spy named Illya Kuryakin. Apart from this McCallum was also known for his performance in 2003 series, NCIS.

Following his death, NCIS shared a post on Instagram and wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of David McCallum and privileged that CBS was his home for so many years. David was a gifted actor and author, and beloved by many around the world. He led an incredible life, and his legacy will forever live on through his family and the countless hours on film and television that will never go away.”

The caption further read, “We will miss his warmth and endearing sense of humor that lit up any room or soundstage he stepped onto, as well as the brilliant stories he often shared from a life well-lived. Our hearts go out to his wife Katherine and his entire family, and all those who knew and loved David.”

The actor’s family also issued a statement, his son Peter McCallum said, that his father David was the kindest, coolest, most patient, and loving father who always put family before himself. His son also revealed that David was fascinated by science and culture.
