The estranged couple, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas who recently grabbed the headlines after the former sued the latter for restraining their daughters from moving to another country have now agreed to keep their two daughters in New York temporarily amidst their ongoing custody dispute.
Joe Jonas-Sophie Turner Agrees To Temporarily Keep Kids In USA
As per a USA Today report, after Sophie Turner’s lawsuit against Joe Jonas both, Sophie and Joe on Monday filed for an interim consent order in the New York. As per the interim order, both Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have now agreed to maintain their daughters in the Southern and Eastern districts of New York, which includes New York City, Long Island and counties up to Westchester.
Reportedly both Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have agreed to the arrangement of keeping their children in New York. Stated in the documents, if the arrangement gets violated by any of the parties, then the court will take appropriate measures to safeguard the well-being of their children and can also prevent further removal before reaching a final decision.
Sophie Turner Lawsuit Against Joe Jonas
Sophie Turner recently sued Joe Jonas for withholding the passport of their kids and for refusing their daughters’ return to England. Reportedly Turner wanted to take the children permanently to the UK, and she demanded the singer hand over the children’s passports so she could take them out of the country immediately. Later she filed the lawsuit to retrieve their daughter’s passport.
Sophie Turner-Joe Jonas’s Divorce
After 4 years of marriage singer Joe Jonas and actress Sophie Turner called it quits earlier this month. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner had a wedding in Las Vegas on May 1, 2019. The two share two daughters together, including Willa who was born in 2020, and another daughter born in 2022, whose name is still haven’t been made public.
