Adil Durrani has come forward with allegations that he was deceived by Rakhi Sawant, asserting that she was already married to Ritesh even before marrying him. He presented photographic evidence of their marriage, videos of pheras (wedding rituals), and legal documents supporting the claim that Rakhi had a prior marriage.
Adil further disclosed that he believes Rakhi took advantage of him financially, and when questioned about the fame he gained through her, he remarked, “Jo paise maine Rakhi pe kharch kiye hain na, un paiso se main Bollywood mein bade banner ke saath launch ho sakta hoon. Namdar banner jaise Yash Raj mein apna launch kar sakta tha, jo maine Rakhi ke liye kharch kiya. Main acting classes join kar sakta tha. Main production house mein paise laga sakta tha aur apne parivaar ko bata kar mujhe launch karwa sakta tha. Mujhe naam, fame aur Bigg Boss ki zaroorat nahi thi.”
During his dialogue on various topics related to Rakhi Sawant, Adil touched upon their marriage and his conversion to Islam.
Rakhi Sawant, on the other hand, had previously accused Adil Durrani of assault, theft of money, and jewelry from her residence. Following her complaint in February, Adil underwent police questioning at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai and was subsequently arrested. After spending six months in jail, he was released and is now sharing his perspective on the matter.
Rakhi Sawant’s former spouse, Adil Khan Durrani, was recently spotted by paparazzi. The businessman had married Rakhi in 2022 following Islamic traditions. Rakhi had filed an FIR against him in February, accusing him of fraud and assault. Adil’s arrest ensued, and Rakhi announced their divorce.
Addressing rumors of a one-crore rupee debt to Rakhi, Adil responded, “Whether I owe a crore rupees to Rakhi or I am supposed to receive it, I will clarify that as well.”
