Telugu Film “Gaami” To Release On THIS OTT Platform!

The makers of Vishwak Sen starrer Tekugu film, "Gaami" have sold the digital rights of the film at a substantial price.

Directed by Vidyadhar Kagita, the Telugu adventure film “Gaami” was released in the theatres on 8th March. Starring Vishwak Sen, Chandini Chowdary, and Abhinaya, the Telugu film opened up to positive responses from moviegoers and critics. The film has also been performing reasonably well at the box office. As per the latest reports, it is now revealed that a leading streaming OTT platform has bagged the digital rights of the film.

Gaami OTT Platform

Starring Vishwak Sen, Chandini Chowdary, and Abhinaya, the digital rights of Vidyadhar Kagita’s film, “Gaami” have been acquired by the streaming giant, ZEE5 according to Deccan Chronicle. As per the reports, the OTT platform acquired the digital rights of the film at a substantial amount. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

Meanwhile, talking about the OTT release date of the film is yet to be announced. The 8-week theatre window is the standard theatrical-to-digital window that typically spans around 8 weeks. This means the film will most probably be released on the OTT platform by May or June.

Gaami Story/Plot

“Gaami” follows the story of a man named, Shankar, an orphaned Aghora, embarking on an adventurous quest to find Maali leaves, a remedy for his disorder. These leaves surface on Earth once every 36 years, offering him a singular opportunity to change his life. His journey commences towards the Dronagiri mountain in the Himalayas.

Written and directed by Vidyadhar Kagita, Gaami was produced by Karthik Sabareesh and Swetha Moravaneni. The Telugu adventure film stars Vishwak Sen in the role of the protagonist Shankar. Chandini Chowdary played Jahnavi in the movie while Abhinaya will be seen as Durga. Gaami was released in theatres on 8 March 2024.
