Starring Sara Ali Khan the much-awaited trailer of Amazon Prime film, "Ae Watan Mere Watan" is out now.

On Monday, Prime Video India released the trailer for “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” featuring Sara Ali Khan in the starring role. The streaming service uploaded the approximately three-minute-long video on its YouTube channel. The movie is set during the Quit India Movement of 1942. The trailer depicted Sara’s character, Usha, as she battles against the British to liberate the nation.

The trailer immerses viewers in the pre-independence era, introducing them to 22-year-old Usha, a college student in Bombay. In her quest to assist India in attaining its independence, she establishes an underground radio station that becomes instrumental in fueling the Quit India Movement. Through Usha’s journey, the trailer showcases the bravery, sacrifices, and ingenuity of the nation’s youth during India’s struggle for freedom.

Based on true events, the film delves into a significant chapter of India’s struggle for independence. Produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment, with Somen Mishra as co-producer, the patriotic thriller-drama is helmed by director Kannan Iyer. The ensemble cast includes Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’Nell, and Anand Tiwari in pivotal roles, along with a special guest appearance by Emraan Hashmi. The screenplay is penned by Kannan Iyer and Darab Farooqui.

“Ae Watan Mere Watan” is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 21.
