The enigmatic pop star Zayn Malik reemerged into the public eye at Paris Fashion Week after nearly five years, making a striking appearance in the front row at the Kenzo runway show. The 31-year-old attended the brand’s fall/winter 2024-2025 fashion exhibition, sharing the space with renowned figures such as musician Pharrell Williams, former Christian Dior CEO Sidney Toledano, and singer Rita Ora.
In a navy blue patterned tweed suit, Malik exuded dapper elegance, leaving the ensemble casually open to reveal a pristine white dress shirt underneath. Tucking the button-down into his slacks and leaving the collar partially open, he showcased his heavily tattooed neck, complementing the look with a voluminous, slicked-back hairdo and a 5-o’clock shadow.
While the reasons for his surprise appearance remain unclear, Malik’s passion for fashion is well-documented. In 2017, he collaborated with Versace to design a capsule collection and was even featured in the campaign, lensed by his then-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
Beyond his musical accolades, Malik delved into the fashion industry with his own clothing line. The launch of his limited-edition merchandise collection, Paynt by Zayn, in June 2022, featured designs inspired by his personal paintings and artwork.
The “Pillowtalk” crooner’s last red carpet strut was in May 2019 at the premiere of “Aladdin” in Los Angeles. For the occasion, he donned a biker jacket-inspired sport coat and pants, skipping the undershirt as he posed alongside Zhavia Ward, his collaborator on the live-action version of the classic movie’s hit song, “A Whole New World.”
Zayn Malik’s public appearances have been sparse, with the notable exception of the 2018 Grammy Awards. Maintaining a low profile, he retreated from the limelight after parting ways with Gigi Hadid, with whom he shares a 3-year-old daughter named Khai.
The end of the couple’s five-year, on-and-off relationship was marked by allegations from Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, who accused Malik of involvement in a heated argument that allegedly turned physical.
