Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ would be Paul Rudd’s fifth appearance as a superhero in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU)’, and before the release of the film, Paul spoke to People’s magazine and revealed how training regime to once again get back in his previous shape was lot a lot more difficult from the previous once.
“I worked really hard to get back into shape for Quantumania, and I realised, ‘Oh my God, this is so much harder than it was (for the last Ant-Man project),” he told the magazine. “I had fallen off more than I had in the past. All of a sudden my clothes fit tight. And I thought, ‘God, this sucks. I can’t even wear these pants.'”
“So I’d say to myself, Well, I might as well just eat some of these cookies. I was irritable and self-conscious. I just wasn’t in a good mood. I really beat myself up,'” he added, quoted by People.
53 year old Paul, who is known for his youthful looks was also named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2021. The actor also talked about his dedication towards his work and revealed how he can be a hyper-focused person if he has a goal. “If I’m doing one of these movies and I know that in four months I have to do a shirtless scene, I’m pretty dialled in,” he explained. “I also try to find a happy medium. I could work out hard and eat perfectly and I’ll still look worse than most of the other Avengers,” Rudd quipped.
Post Avengers: Endgame (2019), Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU)’s phase four is not receiving the same appreciation as previous three phases. Both audience and critics have made it pretty clear that they are not liking this new phase. And the underwhelming box office result of the recent MCU movies is the proof. As per some reports MCU Phase 4 is going to end with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and will kick off a new phase. Hence there is a lot riding on this new film and the lead actor Paul Rudd.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania also stars Evangeline Lilly, David Dastmalchian, and Randall Park. The film is schedule to arrive in cinemas on February 17, 2023.
