The live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey will hit theatres. Disney released a fresh trailer for the film Thursday, one hundred days before its 100th-anniversary celebration. In September of last year, the highly anticipated film’s first teaser was released. Halle shared the most recent teaser with her followers on social media.
In the newest The Little Mermaid teaser we see Ariel, nicknamed Bailey, sings the song “Part of Your World.” And we also get a glimpse of Ariel’s aquatic world through it. The teaser also includes some previously unseen scenes, particularly what appears to be the location where a handful of the other mermaids reside. Ariel interacts with other marine species, which is another thing we get to watch. The teaser most importantly offers our first glimpse of Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric. We also get to hear Ursula’s evil laugh, played by Melissa McCarthy.
Halle Bailey took to her Instagram handle to share a teaser with her fans and wrote, “Words can’t describe how immensely honored I feel to play the mermaid of my dreams, Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Come under the sea with me, in theaters May 26, 2023, with Mermaid emoticons.”
The Little Mermaid is all set to hit the theaters on May 20, 2023, directed by Rob Marshall. Halle Bailey, a singer, and actress, plays the lead character Ariel in the movie. Daveed Diggs portrays Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay portrays Flounder, and Awkwafina portrays Scuttle.
