However, in a recent interview, the American singer opened up on why she left the social media handle back in 2018. Selena revealed her split with Justin Bieber and her bipolar being the reason behind the decision.
For the unversed, Selena Gomez decided to leave Instagram in 2018. The singer left the social media platform and handed over her account to her assistant. Recalling the same Selena now revealed to Fast Company, that it was the time when she got her heart broken.
Selena added that she didn’t want to see what everyone else was doing. She further opened up about not feeling positive during the time due to her insecurity over her looks. She said, “There were those moments of not feeling positive about how I looked because of what I’d see on Instagram. Wow, I wish my body looked like that.”
During the interaction Selena Gomez also opened up about her struggles with her body transformation during her teen years. For the unversed, after her breakup with Justin Bieber in 2018, the “Lose You To Love Me” singer was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In 2020, Selena came out and confronted her mental situation publicly. During her conversation with Miley Cyrus Selena revealed about her diagnosis.
