Selena Gomez has proved that she doesn’t need shoes to make an impact as she went barefoot at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards on February 27. And recently, the Only Murders in the Building actress took to Instagram to poke fun at the fact that while she showed up in black pointed-toe pumps, she simply couldn’t hold on to her heels.
Meanwhile, Selena teased in the caption, “Last night was such a magical one. I couldn’t keep my heels on but I did manage to take a couple of selfies.” However, Selena donned a black velvet gown, a Bulgari diamond choker, pair of diamond earrings, and an emerald ring. Selena’s award-worthy glam look featured a slicked back bun fastened with a black bow.
While this look certainly turned heads, Selena made even bigger waves when she walked on stage without shoes to present an award with Martin, during which they joked about Botox of all things. It seems Selena’s comfortable couture may have been a trendsetter. During the ceremony, Selena was spotted chatting with spouses Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, who also seemingly ditched her shoes for a barefoot look.
The 29-year-old singer and actress also shared her make-up transformation. With her hit Look At Her Now playing over the video, Gomez first rocks cozy sweater, messy bob, and a fresh face before transforming into her gorgeous SAG Awards look, a black velvet Oscar de la Renta gown with embellished puff sleeves, paired with a statement choker and a collection of diamond and pearl earrings.
Gomez kept her hair pulled back in a sleek bun accessorized with a black bow hair ribbon. Along with Vanngo, the star’s glam squad included stylist Kate Young, nail artist Tom Bachik, and hairstylist Marissa Marino. Bachik took to Instagram to offer a closer look at Gomez’s emerald green nails which complemented her matching Bulgari ring. However, Gomez tripped on the red carpet before her presenting gig, which explains her ditching the pumps.
