Sarah Jessica Parker officially confirmed Aidan Shaw is returning for And Just Like That season 2. Parker recently revealed it was impossible for her to keep John Corbett, reprising his S*x and the City role as her character Carrie Bradshaw’s ex in the HBO Max reboot a secret anymore.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Hocus Pocus actress addressed the rumours teasing, “Could be, could be. Well, you know, I can’t be like, cryptic about it anymore.” Aidan was last seen in the 2010 spin-off movie Sex and the City 2, in which he took Carrie on a dinner date and stole a kiss, despite her being married to her now-late husband Mr Big, played by Chris Noth. However, it was previously reported that furniture maker Aidan will appear in a ‘substantial, multi-episode arc’ in season two.
Meanwhile, last year, when season one of the S*x And The City sequel was in the works, the actor had teased he would be in the reboot. However, to the fans’ disappointment, he never appeared in any of the episodes. Sarah weighed in on his comment during an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “It was fun. It was fun for him to say that,” the actress explained, adding that she found humour in his joke.
She added, “When he actually reached out, very kindly, because he’s nothing if not a gentleman and apologized for doing that as a joke, and then I was like, ‘No, no, no, it’s a free country first of all.” However, in an interview with Glamour last year, John expressed on a serious note that he would take on the role of Aiden once more if he was given the opportunity.

The last time Carrie and Aiden were seen together was in the Sex And The City 2 feature film. Aiden was married to his wife Kathy, and he revealed the couple had three children together. Updates on his marriage life and children will be shown in the second season. Apart from reprising his role in Sex And The City 2, John recently finished filming the third movie in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding franchise. Sarah is also reprising one of her other iconic roles, Sarah Sanderson, in the Disney+ sequel, Hocus Pocus 2.
