Robert Pattinson to Collaborate with Parker Finn for Remake of 1981 film ‘Possession’

Twilight (2008) actor, Robert Pattinson secretly collaborates with Smile director, Parker Finn to recreate the 1981 Horror film ‘Possession.’ The cult classic film is directed by Polish filmmaker Andrzej Żuławski.

Twilight (2008) actor, Robert Pattinson secretly collaborates with Smile director, Parker Finn to recreate the 1981 Horror film ‘Possession.’ The cult classic film is directed by Polish filmmaker Andrzej Żuławski.

Finn will be writing, directing and producing via his production company ‘Bad Feeling.’ Pattinson will also be producing under his banner, ‘Icki Eneo Arlo,’ though his acting role has not been made official yet due to ongoing developments in the script and schedule. Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee will also be the producer, who previously produced Barbarian, directed by Zach Cregger in 2022.

The project is currently in a war of bidding between the companies like Sony, Netflix, Paramount, Warner Bros and A24. The meeting regarding the same is going to take place this week. Pattinson was last seen in DC’s The Batman in 2022 and will make his comeback with Bong Joon Ho’s film Mickey 17 in January 2025. The actors are in talks with WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, and CurtisBrown Group to make a contractual deal. While, the director is in touch with  CAA, Grandview, and Jackoway Austen regarding the same.

The original 1981 movie is celebrated for its psychological depth and disturbing visuals. It starred Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill in a story that blended horror with intense emotional drama.

The plot was set in West Berlin, Germany. Neill and Adjani played a couple dealing with marital issues which eventually get into disastrous events with murders, alien creatures and doppelgangers.

He gained fame with his role as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and skyrocketed to stardom as Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” series. Pattinson has received critical acclaim for his performances in films like The King (2019) and The Lighthouse (2019) earning awards including the London Film Critics’ Circle Award.
