DaBaby Faces Backlash Amid ‘Sexual Assault’ Allegations; Rapper Reacts

The rapper, in a viral video, can be seen forcing himself on a female fan against her will, facing criticisms from fans for his behaviour.

DaBaby, a 30-year-old rapper from North Carolina, was recently photographed roughly kissing a female fan. A video of the incident went viral on Social media just a day ago, infuriating netizens. The rapper was accused by Twitter users of attempting to sexually harass the woman. Over 10.9 million people have watched the video with the caption “DaBaby getting curved by fans.” The rapper is seen in the footage approaching a crowd of fans who have collected just outside the venue to see him. After hugging a few followers, the camera cuts to him grasping a woman’s face and dragging her face with both hands. The artist pouted as he attempted to pull the woman closer, but she resisted.

DaBaby subsequently pulls the woman’s face even more, and as his lips are close to hers, she looks away and refuses to let him kiss her. He tried to kiss the woman at least twice, but she seemed entirely reluctant to engage in kissing him and tried to pull away the entire time.

As the fan stepped back, something or someone’s hand hit the rapper, the rapper was left speechless. He also seemed to have collapsed following the conversation, since the video turns off shortly as the interaction ended.

According to the New York Post, the tape was allegedly shot in February. On April 7, DaBaby commented to the popular video on his Instagram Stories. “Y’all Go head-on man,” the rapper said beside a laughing emoji in response to the video. “Me and my booboos love each other to death,” he said, “but there’s no kissing going on.”

Not just him, many fans in the past have faced sexual as well as physical abuse by their idols, right from Kanye West punching a fan to Justin Bieber, when a fan asked for his autograph. Although with respect to DaBaby, he still denies kissing the fan forcefully. In the past, the rapper was seen allegedly hitting a fan, when she unintentionally hold her smartphone in a way that the flash hit his eyes. “I do sincerely apologise. I do,” DaBaby said in a statement on his Instagram story.”I’m very sorry that there was a female on the other end of that flashlight on their phone,” he continued.

“But you know, keep in mind, I couldn’t see you because you got the flash this close to me. Which is okay, it’s no problem. A lot of people did – they didn’t put it as close as you put it – but a lot of people had flash on me, and that’s okay. That’s what I signed up for.” he clarified.
