Priyanka Chopra Exits Sona Restaurant Partnership After Two Years In The Venture

The Decision To Distance Herself From Sona Aligns With Priyanka's Aspirations To Expand Her Endeavors On A Global Scale

Priyanka Chopra, renowned for her multifaceted career, has extended her reach beyond the realm of acting to explore diverse domains, including business and the culinary world. Notably, she was associated with Sona, a prominent restaurant located in New York, which marked its grand opening in the year 2021. However, recent reports have unveiled a significant shift as Priyanka has opted to disengage from her involvement with the restaurant. As a result, Maneesh K. Goyal, the co-founder, will assume the mantle of overseeing its operations. This pivotal development has been formally affirmed by Priyanka’s representative to PEOPLE.

The spokesperson conveyed, “Priyanka has stepped away from her partnership at Sona. Bringing Sona to life will invariably be a proud and significant moment in her career. Priyanka has always endeavoured to bring Indian culture to the fore through storytelling, whether that’s via engaging content for film and TV, or a beautifully plated dish that embodies the haute cuisine of India.”

The decision to distance herself from Sona aligns with Priyanka’s aspirations to expand her endeavors on a global scale. The spokesperson elaborated, “Stepping away from Sona allows her to broaden these ambitions on a more global scale, and she’s excited about the possibilities that await.”

Shifting focus to Priyanka Chopra’s recent achievements, her role in ‘Citadel,’ co-starring Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci, showcased her talent. Subsequently, she took center stage in the romantic comedy ‘Love Again,’ sharing the screen with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. Anticipation surrounds her upcoming project ‘Heads of State,’ where she is set to grace the screen alongside Idris Elba and John Cena.
