Earlier his month we saw Selena Gomez and Niall Horan celebrating the release of Niall’s single ‘Nice to Meet Ya’ together. Ever since then the two are frequently seen visiting each other’s houses while also supporting each other on social media. Selena took to her social media to support Niall’s new music and she wrote, “Nice to Meet Ya’ writing: “this came out like 5 min ago… and I’m pretty sure you need to download.” Even Niall shared a story on Instagram next to a poster of Selena writing: “Hello there Sel“.
Soon it was speculated that Niall and Selena may be dating. But Niall in a recent interview with Sirius XM shut down these rumors. He said, “We’re friends. We have the same group of friends. We hang out all the time. The one photo that was ever taken got posted. We are good friends.” On being asked if whether or not we can expect a Niall and Selena collab, Niall further stated, “No collaborations as of yet. I know she’s been doing some music too. We were just out for dinner.”
There you go guys, Niall is definitely not dating Selena Gomez, but in the past, he has been quite open about his crush on her. Niall in an interview in 2017 revealed how it was Mary Kate and Ashley and Selena Gomez whom he had a crush on. He also admitted that he would marry Selena Gomez in a game of Snog.
And though Selena and Niall are not dating that doesn’t rule out a friends-to-romance glow-up in the future. We mean take for example Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, who started dating this year after being friends for a few years now. And we can totally see how they are madly in love with each other. So whether Niall and Selena may share the same fate, well only time will tell!
