Riverdale star KJ Apa and his model girlfriend Clara Berry have become parents to their first child together. The couple welcomed a baby boy on September 23. Clara, 27, took Instagram to announce the news on Sunday night.
She shared a photo embracing her newborn’s hands, the new mum captioned the adorable picture, “Sasha Vai Keneti Apa, born on the 23rd of September. He is perfect perfection. I am the luckiest to have now two men of my life, filling my heart with this cosmic gigantic vast love.” Through the Instagram post, she also revealed that their bundle of joy is named Sasha Vai Keneti Apa!
The comment section is flooded with love and congratulations. KJ’s Riverdale co-star, Lili Reinhart has also expressed her excitement for the couple in the comments section. She commented, “Can’t wait to meet him,” with the heart-eyes and red heart emojis. “Congratulations.” “FRANKS and sunny have a new bud,” Alex Fine, who recently expanded his family with singer Cassie, replied. Model Hana Cross wrote, “Yay congratulations you guys! So happy for you!!”
KJ is yet to formally reveal the exciting news on his own social media handle but he did share his girlfriend’s post to his Instagram story. In the same series of stories posted to his profile, he shared his song ‘Beautiful Things’ from his latest album – a track that he wrote with the mother of his first-born about their relationship. ‘Congratulations to the beautiful family!’
Back in May, KJ and Clara took to social media to share the news that they were going to be a family of three! The model posted a collage of maternity photos on her Instagram page and adorably cradled her growing baby bump. Clara kept her caption simple by using a chef and frying pan emoji, to sweetly suggest she was cooking something. For those who didn’t quite get the message, KJ commented, “She’s pregnant btw.”
The couple’s baby news comes over a year after they confirmed their relationship in February 2020. At the time, the CW star posted a PDA-filled photo of himself and Clara kissing, along with the caption, “Coup de foudre (Love at first sight).”
KJ, 24, and Clara were first romantically linked in August last year. They made their relationship official in December and shared the news of pregnancy on social media in May this year.
