Jurassic World: Dominion And More Movies Release Date Postponed Due To Pandemic

Movie Jurassic World: Dominion has been postponed a year back from its scheduled release date of June 2021 to June 10, 2022.

‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ will now hit theatres on June 10, 2022, because of the coronavirus pandemic, a year later than initially expected.

Bryce Dallas Howard, who stars in the film, posted a new teaser poster on her on Tuesday to her Instagram handle. The poster unveiled a T-Rex shadow placed against a golden amber.

The actress, captioned the post as, “JUNE 10, 2022. Call it Jurassic World 3 or Jurassic Park 6 — either way, HOLD ONTO YOUR BUTTS,” adding hashtags “#JurassicWorldDominion #JurassicWorld #JurassicPark.”

Production of the hit film shut down in March when all Hollywood projects and corporations around the world were locked down owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dallas Howard spoke about returning to shoot the next instalment of the series in June saying, “There’s been a lot of communication.”

“They’re going above and beyond,” added the star, while also confirmed that she and co-star Chris Pratt took all the precautionary measures before returning to work to ensure safety.

“We would never go back to work if we didn’t feel safe and we’re taking it a day at a time,” she said.

Dallas Howard further expressed gratitude towards her team and co-stars, “I’m very grateful to have a job. What feels really right about it is that there’s this daily conversation, daily communication with all of the actors, the key crew members, and just us being consistently [like], ‘OK, how are we going to do this safely?’ And not making compromises that could undermine someone’s health and well-being.”

Meanwhile, in the wake of the current pandemic, Jurassic World: Dominion follows a lengthy list of films whose release dates were postponed.

The last production of Daniel Craig as James Bond in No Time To Die changed release dates from this November to April 2021, while F9, the next instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise, will now premiere on the 2021 weekend of Memorial Day.

Apart from this Denis Villeneuve’s Dune adaptation that stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya will hit theatres in October 2021instead of its initial release date of Dec. 18, while Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman 1984 was postponed from October 2020 to Dec. 25.  

Movie Candyman which was initially pushed from June 12, 2020, to September 25, 2020, later October 16, 2020, well now set for 2021, but the exact date isn’t yet confirmed.

Mission: Impossible 7 pushed back from July 23, 2021, to November 19, 2021, and Mission: Impossible 8 rescheduled from August 5, 2022, to November 4, 2022.
