The 1997 horror movie I Know What You Did Last Summer was one of the greatest hits of that time. The movie is in the buzz for quite some time now that it will have a sequel and now it is finally official that there will be a part 2 of this movie.
On February 6, Deadline reported that Jennifer Kaytin Robinson will direct a sequel to the popular 1997 horror film starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr. The project is the fourth installment in the slasher film series inspired by the 1973 novel I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan.

The story was also made into the OTT series on Amazon Prime in 2021, but it was canceled after just one season. it is said that Sony Pictures is bringing the franchise back to the big screen. Although details about the new film are not revealed it, the previous episodes showed that a group of teenagers who accidentally kill a man and then dump his body in water to hide the evidence.

They agree never to talk about what happened, but a year later they have to relive the accident when they receive a threatening letter from someone who claims to know their dark secret. They are soon followed by an assassin with a hook.
There are rumors that the movie might bring the old cast back(some of them) and a new cast will be involved for a fresh start to the sequel.
