"House of the Dragon", a prequel series to "Game of Thrones", will soon come with season 2 and makers have revealed the cast which has familiar faces and some new members are joining the team.

There must not be anyone who doesn’t know about the story of the seven kingdoms of Westeros, known as “Game of Thrones”. This TV series ran almost 8 years and has its prequel “House of the Dragon” released in the year 2022. The most awaited season 2 of “House of the Dragon” is now in the production state and our favourite stars from the family of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon will return to the screen. But some of the favourite actors won’t hit the screen in the second season. Here you will get the entire cast of House of the Dragon season 2.

HBO has marked the confirmation tag on the return of 16 actors, which includes Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole, Ewan Mitchell as Prince Aemond Targaryen, Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower, Tom Glynn-Carney as King Aegon II Targaryen, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria these are the prominent faces we will see in the second season of this series.

As the story will update further in an upcoming season, young Rhaenyra and young Alicent, played by Milly Alcock and Emily Carey, will be missing in season 2. But there might be a surprise element for the audience in regard to the character of Ser Harrold, played by Graham McTavish, as there is no confirmation about his return to the story.

House of the Dragon is a story of the ‘Targaryen Civil War’ and the dragon world. This story is 200 years prior to Game of Thrones. There is action, drama, romance, mystery in the series, just like Game of Thrones.

Show’s executive producer Ryan Condal said, “All your favourite characters will soon be conspiring at the council tables, marching with their armies, and riding their dragons into battle. We can’t wait to share what we have in store”. Audiences will get to see many familiar faces as well as fresh faces in the second season of House of the Dragon.
