The 23-year-old model Hailey Bieber married the ‘Yummy’ hitmaker Justin Bieber in 2018 and said that coping with the criticisms they have received is ‘not easy,’ particularly when people make ‘comparisons’ between herself and the former partners of Justin – most notably singer Selena Gomez.
On their Facebook Live show The Biebers on Watch, Hailey, and Justin, 25, started with answering fan questions when asked how they ‘manage to be a couple when everyone feels like they have a say in their relationship.’
Also, the blonde beauty said, ‘It is definitely not easy. Justin knows I have a hard time with the things people say and the ways people make comparisons… The way they have made me feel like less of a woman.’
The model says that she still tries to be the better person when stuff gets too intense because she realizes that the trolls who judge her are probably themselves ‘going through something bad’
‘I think when people have a lot to say or go out of their way to make people feel less than, it is because they are going through something bad. It helps to remind myself that that person is going through something themselves.’
The pair also discussed the on-and-off relationship they had before tying the knot, and Hailey insisted on the full story that people ‘don’t know.’
Meanwhile, Justin recently admitted that he had been dealing with issues of ‘jealousy’ before marrying Hailey, crediting his spouse with making him realize where his downfall was.
He said explaining the situation that reads, ‘There’s a lot of things that I needed to work on. Forgiveness things. Jealousy things. Insecurities that I needed to – that I didn’t even realize I had until I chose to spend my life with you.
‘I realize there was a lot of things – blind spots – in my life that I didn’t realize I had. That was really hard to work through those things, but I think, you know, when you choose to look through those things, they actually – I feel like now that I’ve worked through a lot of that stuff, you and I are closer than ever.’
The Yummy singer and Hailey launched their Facebook Watch series in lockdown, with the first 10-minute segment seeing the pair chat about their relationship’s highs and lows, break-ups, and marriage.
