Actress Halle Berry Will Pay $8,000 Per Month In Child Support For Her Son

This Support Covers Private School Tuition, Uniforms, And Supplies, Though The Payments Will Be Directly Made To The School

Actress Halle Berry’s divorce from ex-husband Olivier Martinez has finally concluded after eight years of legal proceedings. However, the Los Angeles court has ruled that Berry is responsible for child support payments, according to reports from Page Six.

Under the court orders, Berry is required to provide $8,000 per month in child support for their 9-year-old son. This support covers private school tuition, uniforms, and supplies, though the payments will be directly made to the school rather than Martinez. Additionally, Berry will cover her son’s medical insurance, uninsured medical expenses, and therapy costs.

In addition to child support, Berry has expressed her willingness to contribute $55,000 towards Martinez’s attorney fees.

As outlined in the divorce agreement, both Berry and Martinez will share physical custody of their son equally throughout the week, with each parent taking custody for half of the week—either Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday—along with alternating weekends. A schedule has been agreed upon to facilitate this arrangement.

The divorce filing occurred in 2015, but the case was prolonged due to matters of child support and custody. The couple, who wed in July 2013, issued a joint statement upon their split in 2015, stating, “It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly, our children’s, privacy, as we go through this difficult period.”
