Ed Sheeran must be wondering why he didn’t share any updates about his personal life in recent months. However, the singer recently revealed why he chose to stay away from social media. Sheeran took to his Instagram and shared a video of himself as he gets candid with his fans.
In the video, the singer confessed, “I realized I haven’t been that engaged in my social media and my fan base online for the past couple of years.” He later called his recent posts ‘a bit boring.’ He goes on to offer an explanation for his online absence, saying, “Just being totally honest, I’ve had some turbulent things been happening in my personal life so I just didn’t really feel like being online and pretending to be something I’m not when I wasn’t feeling like that.”
Despite the surprising confession, Sheeran adds that “things are looking up” and notes, “I’m back online.” However, Sheeran doesn’t clarify precisely what ‘turbulent things’ he’s referring to in regard to his personal life. He does flash his wedding band several times in the video.
For the unversed, Ed Sheeran tied the knot with his longtime love Cherry Seaborn in 2019. The couple is parents to a 2-year-old daughter Lyra and their 8-month-old daughter, Jupiter. In November 2022, Sheeran shared that he planned to release his sixth album in 2023.
Meanwhile, just hours after he gets candid on the turbulent things happening in his life, Ed Sheeran shared a bizarre video as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Ed posted a clip of himself as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle after relying on a facial filter to distort his features and turn him green. In the video, Sheeran said, “People keep asking me ‘where have I been?’ Where haven’t I been,” before manically laughing.
However, several fans took to comments to remark on the strange video, with some joking he needed to take a break again after watching the clip. While some think the video is just a joke, a few fans show concern over his latest post. And some show support for the singer.
