Dwayne Johnson Gives Update On 2024 US Presidential Run

Dwayne Johnson revealed that he is not interested in being taken away from his family by the demands of a political career.

Speculations of Dwayne Johnson running for the U.S. presidency are swirling around the internet. However, in the latest conversation, the actor shuts down any speculation that he should consider running for president. The wrestler-turned-actor shared, “It’s off the table. Yes, it is off the table.”

The Rock then explained, “I will say this, ’cause it requires a B side to this. I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me, is being a daddy, number one, especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives.”

Dwayne then continues, “Cause I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years when my first daughter [was] growing up. At this critical time in their life, that’s what the presidency would do. So, my number one priority is my daughters.” The actor says he’s not interested in being taken away from his family by the demands of a political career.

For the unversed, Johnson shares 21-year-old daughter Simone Garcia Johnson with his ex-wife, Dany Garcia. In 2020, he revealed that Simone will “blaze her own path” in WWE as the youngest signee in the history of the company. He also shares 6-year-old Jasmine and 4-year-old Tiana with his wife Lauren Hashian.

Fans get to see several cute glimpses of the littlest Johnsons on The Rock’s Instagram page, with him sharing sweet and often hilarious highlights of their adventures and pranks. Not a while ago, the Black Adam star went viral for doting over a tiny baby girl who had essentially crowd-surfed her way to the stage during a press event for his new film.

In the latest interview with ET, the actor shared of the viral moment with baby Luciana, which he shared on his personal Instagram page “It was crazy.” Johnson reveals that it was his idea to kick off the Black Adam press tour in Mexico, saying that “the love and mana are strong, and I think that Mexico could set the tone for the rest of the tour.”
