Dua Lipa And Henry Cavill Dance Together In First Glimpse Of Upcoming Spy Thriller ‘Argylle’

Dua Lipa is making her acting debut as she is starred alongside Henry Cavil in the upcoming movie Argylle.

Enola Holmes actor Henry Cavill and singer-turned-actress Dua Lipa get close with a dance in the first glimpse from upcoming Apple TV plus’ new spy thriller movie Argyle. The actor stars as the title character in this new film from director Matthew Vaughn, with the singer making her acting debut as Lagrange.

Cavill posted the first photo on Instagram, though a brief teaser video has also surfaced on social media featuring the first bits of footage of Cavill, Lipa, and West Side Story breakout star Ariana DeBose. The photo features a dapper Cavill in a sharp emerald green suit while dancing close with Lipa, clad in a glimmering gold gown.

Cavill said in the caption, “Argylle and Lagrange. Seems perfectly peaceful doesn’t it…” while adding the hashtag #Argylle while tagging @AppleTVPlus, Vaughn’s production company @MarvFilms, and @DuaLipa. Lipa posted the same photo on Instagram, adding, “First look!! Coming soon… #Argylle @marv_films.”

Meanwhile, the brief teaser offers another glimpse at Cavill’s Argylle, as he’s heard in voice-over saying, “The greater the spy, the greater the lie.” DeBose’s character is just seen giving someone a coy look, while another shot shows Argylle and Lagrange on the dance floor. The brief video ends with Lipa’s Lagrange dancing by herself in the middle of the dance floor.

With the reveal of this new photo and teaser, it’s possible that the first trailer could be just around the corner, though that has yet to be confirmed. While not seen in the teaser, the film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Cena, Catherine O’Hara, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, and Rob Delaney. Vaughn directs from a script by Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman) based on the novel by Elly Conway that was published in 2022.

Argylle is currently in post-production though no release date on Apple TV Plus has been set quite yet. Cavill will also return as Sherlock Holmes in the Netflix sequel Enola Holmes 2, with Millie Bobby Brown returning as the title character. He is also attached to star in The Rosie Project, based on Graeme Simsion’s novel of the same name.
