Actress Daisy Ridley who rose to fame with Star Wars sequel trilogy is set to headline Amazon Prime Video’s series ‘The Better Liar’, as per new report in entertainment portal Deadline.
The series is based on the book by the same name by Tanen Jones. The Better Liar centers on a woman who “hires a lookalike in an effort to conceal her sister’s death and claim their shared inheritance,” but “her deception exposes a web of dangerous secrets,”
This series also marks Ridley’s first TV series lead role, who is also set to work as executive producer on the series. The series will be penned by Raelle Tucker who has written popular shows like True Blood, Netflix’s Jessica Jones, and Sacred Lies.
Meanwhile, Daisy Ridley will next be seen in director Rachel Lambert’s dark comedy ‘Sometimes I Think About Dying’, which had it’s premiere at the 2023 Sundance Festival. The actress is also filming the noir thriller Magpie, which is based on her own story.
