Colman Domingo Addresses Kang Casting Speculations Following Jonathan Majors’ Departure From Marvel

Daniel Richtman, an industry insider, surfaced claims naming Domingo as a frontrunner to replace Majors as the time-traveling Marvel villain.

After Marvel Studios broke ties with Jonathan Majors, speculation about Kang the Conqueror’s recasting ignited discussions. Recent Reports suggested that Euphoria star Colman Domingo could potentially step into the role. While Marvel remains silent on these rumors, Domingo has responded to the swirling speculations.

Daniel Richtman, an industry insider, surfaced claims naming Domingo as a frontrunner to replace Majors as the time-traveling Marvel villain. The news received an enthusiastic response from fans and online communities. Initially planned as the antagonist in the fifth Avengers film titled ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,’ Majors’ departure led to a retitle, and the upcoming film is now simply referred to as ‘Avengers 5.’

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Colman Domingo addressed the Kang casting rumors, expressing uncertainty: “I don’t know, I’m always looking at what I have to do right now… I know there’s talk and conversations around, and I don’t know how much is true. I don’t even get that from my team; I can’t tell if it’s true or not.” Despite this, he expressed gratitude for the consideration and found it heartwarming.

“Somehow my name is out there in the world [and] I like the idea of just having your name called and someone speaking lovingly and kindly about something is a beautiful thing,” added Colman, embracing the positive attention.
