Camila Cabello Reveals She Isn’t Putting ‘Pressure’ On Herself To Find Love

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes recently split and the singer has revealed that she is concentrating on making new friends rather than finding new romance.

The 25-year-old singer has revealed to Cosmopolitan U.K., “I don’t put a lot of focus on it. I just really want to hang out with people, I want to make friends, and I’ve made a lot of great friends over the past year. If something happens, then that’s really fun, but I don’t put any pressure on it.” Cabello has revealed that earlier she used to prioritize being in a romantic relationship. “Before I used to be like, ‘Yes, love, oh my God, love,’ and now I’m just trying to have a good time.”

Cabello added, “I just want to live my life and have great friendships. If something comes out of [them] that’s something more, then that’s great.” Camila may not be seeking “the one,” but she certainly doesn’t want to be alone. She was photographed by E! News during a night out in Los Angeles last month, laughing with Lox Club CEO Austin Kevitch. Camila looked happy as she accompanied the tech mogul on an evening stroll.

The two-year romance between Camilla and Shawn came to an end in November 2021, with the couple promising to “continue to be best friends” in a joint Instagram post. She provided some insight into their mutual split five months later and mentioned that their decision to part ways was motivated by changing priorities. In a joint statement, the two announced the split, saying, “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans are stronger than ever.”

The joint statement continues, “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.” “I guess my focus is really on, ‘How can I be a well-rounded person?'” Camila said when Zane Lowe from Apple Music 1 asked her what was going on. “And I feel like that was that way for both of us. Because we both started so young too, it’s like we’re really learning how to be healthy adults. And that sometimes means not having your number one focus be your career.”
