BTS idol and rapper, RM aka Kim Namjoon recently grabbed the headlines after he shared Frank Ocean’s song Bad Religion on his Instagram stories. Soon after which his fans and netizens asked the idol to issue a public apology. Reacting to the same, BTS’ RM recently broke his silence on the matter on Weverse this Wednesday.

BTS’ RM Finally Breaks Silence On “Bad Religion” Controversy

On Wednesday, during his Live session on Weverse, BTS idol RM aka Namjoon finally broke his silence on the recent Islamophobia controversy. Talking about the same the idol stated that he had absolutely no intention of hurting anyone’s religious sentiments. RM said that everyone kept telling him that he insulted a religion, but he did not and there was no intention or purpose to insult any religion. The idol claimed that he respects every belief and every religion.

Talking about his Instagram story controversy, RM further added that he knows what is going on about his Instagram, but he had no purpose or no intention to insult a religion. The idol further stated that he won’t be apologising, he said, “I am not apologising. I am just saying. I have my own soul, I am 30 years old, I can express my truth. A word is a word, believe my words from myself, not just guessing, pretending and assuming, okay?”

About BTS’ RM “Bad Religion” Song Controversy

In August, BTS member RM shared a track on social media from Frank Ocean’s debut studio album Channel Orange titled Bad Religion. However, his post sparked extreme outrage online, and a heated debate erupted surrounding the South Korean rapper. A segment of netizens then accused RM of sharing an Islamophobic song on social media. However, the idol later apologized for the same and stated that he no intention of hurting any religion.
