Best Movies And Shows Coming To Netflix In January 2022

From the new season of Ozark to the Undercover, check out the best movies and shows to binge-watch this January.

We have already entered the new year and it’s a great time to stream new shows and movies on Netflix. Top-notch, award-winning content graced our screens in 2021, but the streaming giant is raising the bar for 2022. While adding a number of fan-favorite series like Ozark season 4 starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney and films like 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory starring Johnny Depp, this new year is about to be far from boring.

January will also see the arrival of Ricky Gervais’ bittersweet comedy After Life, with episodes from its third and final season picking up after Tony (Gervais), has grieved another major loss and considers what it will take to move on with his life. Netflix is also debuting The House, an eccentric dark comedy stop-motion anthology series that follows individuals across various eras, all tied to a mysterious house. Here are the best series and movies on Netflix hitting this month.

The Wasteland
Helmed by Ahman Bahrami, The Wasteland is an Iranian film. The official plot of the movie reads, ‘The tranquil lives of a family isolated from the rest of society are disturbed by a terrifying creature, testing the ties that bind them together.’ The Wasteland will hit the streaming giant on January 6.

Undercover: Season 3
If you have already watched the Bulgarian show then your wait is over for the next season of Undercover. The series will follow Ferry who gets released from prison and finds that his top position in the XTC world is taken over by someone, more strong and better-plotted gang, which works in the leadership of a married couple Serkan and Leyla Bulut. When one young Undercover agent is killed, the Police realize that they have a culprit among them. Undercover season 3 will release on Netflix on January 10.

Ozark: Season 4, Part 1
Season four of Ozark picks up right where season three finished, with Marty and Wendy witnessing Pierce getting shot and killed at the hands of Navarro. However, that isn’t the only problem they have: the couple is now even more tied to the cartel boss and Marty’s right-hand woman Ruth Langmore (Garner) has turned against them and is now working for Darlene Snell. Ozark season 4 part 1 will release on Netflix on January 21.

However, if you haven’t watched any of the episodes of Ozark, then let you know the Netflix Original series follows the story of Marty Byrde (Bateman), a talented financial adviser who gets roped into laundering money for a Mexican drug cartel. He drags his wife, Wendy (Linney), and their two children, Charlotte (Hublitz) and Jonah (Gaertner), from Chicago to the Ozarks in Missouri, where they open a casino.
