A source close to Hindustan Times clarified the situation, stating, “There is no film in the making. They shot for a commercial for a hospital, and the BTS video was released online, which started the rumors.”

The disappointing news for fans doesn’t end there. Reports suggest that the much-anticipated “Munna Bhai 3” may never see the light of day. The rift between director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, which stemmed from #MeToo allegations against Hirani, has cast a shadow over the project’s future.

One source elaborated, “There are very slim chances of the third film happening now because of the fallout between Rajkumar Hirani and (producer) Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It has been several years since they parted ways following the #MeToo allegations against Hirani. In fact, there was a film with a working title ‘Munna Bhai Chale America,’ but that was soon shelved without any reason. The script was finalized, and the pre-production had also started, but it could not happen.”

“Munna Bhai M.B.B.S” and “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” were colossal hits at the box office, garnering a massive fan following. Consequently, the news of the potential shelving of “Munna Bhai 3” is bound to disappoint fans who have been eagerly awaiting the next installment. Even Arshad Warsi had previously expressed doubts, stating that “Munna Bhai 3 may not happen.”
