On Monday, a division bench of the Calcutta High Court admitted a PIL demanding a CBI probe into the death of KK. Advocate Rabishankar Chattopadhyay has sent an appeal to the Calcutta High Court demanding a probe into the matter of KK’s death. Rabishankar wants CBI to look into the matter and therefore he has appealed to the Calcutta High Court for demanding a CBI probe into KK’s death. The division bench of the High Court which comprised Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava as well as Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj admitted the PIL on Monday afternoon.
In the appeal, petitioner Rabishankar Chattopadhyay argued and claimed that there was no proper management at Nazrul Manch during the event. He also mentioned that the negligence on part of the administration was one of the reasons behind what happened during the event. Therefore, the finer points of the negligence behind the mismanagement need to be identified which is why a CBI probe is necessary.
