When Saif Ali Khan Was Beaten By Fan’s Boyfriend In A Night Club

In an interview, Saif Ali Khan opened up about his fight at a nightclub after the premiere of "Main Khiladi Tu Anari".

Saif Ali Khan was once punched by a female fan’s boyfriend at a nightclub. This incident dates back to 1994 when his film Main Khiladi Tu Anari was up for release. After the grand premiere of the film, Saif went to a nightclub to party with his friends. However, he got into a fight and this incident made it to the headlines.

Soon after the incident, Saif Ali Khan came out in the media and revealed that he wasn’t to be blamed for the fight at the nightclub. He exclusively talked to Lehren and explained what happened. Saif was seen with a bandage on his forehead and explained, “It was reported that I was at fault. It is unfortunate that we had a fight. After the premiere of Main Khiladi Tu Anari, I went to a nightclub with my friends. I was approached by two girls who kept asking me to dance with them. It happened for a while but after some time I asked them to leave us alone. The girls were accompanied by their boyfriends. I requested them to take care of the girls so that I could enjoy with my friends. He didn’t like it. He said, ‘You have a million-dollar face and I am going to spoil it’. And then he punched me.”

When asked if he took legal action against the man, Saif replied, “I didn’t file any complaint because I didn’t want any publicity on that matter. But if people blame me that I caused the fight, then I can explain everything now.”

Saif was married to Amrita Singh at that time. During the interview, he revealed that the incident affected Amrita and he feels sorry that it all happened. He also clarified that Mamta Kulkarni was not involved in this incident.

Main Khiladi Tu Anari was released in 1994. It is an action comedy film featuring Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Raageshwari.
