When People Shouted At Bobby Deol For Touching Ameesha Patel

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel recently visited The Kapil Sharma Show for the promotions of her upcoming film Gadar 2. She was accompanied by her Gadar co-star Sunny Deol who was dressed up as his character Tara Singh. During the episode, Ameesha Patel recalled how the crowd once shouted at Sunny Deol’s brother Bobby Deol.

Ameesha recalled the outdoor shooting experience with Bobby Deol for the Hindi film Humraaz (2002). She revealed that when Bobby hugged her for a scene, the crowd started shouting at him and said that she is Sunny Deol’s “Amaanat”.

Ameesha said on The Kapil Sharma Show, “Inke bhai Bobby Deol ke saath Humraaz ki shooting kar rahi thi. Bahut saara crowd tha jo ekdum upar se hum log ko neeche dekh rhe the. Jaise hi Bobby ji ne mujhe gale lgaya, chillam-chilli start- ‘Arre chodh isko, ye to tere bhai ki amaanat hai. Tara Singh isko Pakistan se leke aay hain.” (I was shooting with Sunny Deol’s brother Bobby Deol for Humraaz. There was a lot of crowd looking at us. The moment Bobby Deol hugged me, the crowd started shouting, ‘Leave her. She is your brother’s treasured possession. Tara Singh brought her here from Pakistan’).

Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Director Anil Sharma has brought together the hit jodi of Tara Singh and Sakina after 22 years. Gadar 2 will release in theatres on 11 August 2023.
